The New Bumbo

Today we found a Bumbo and Rian loves it! We went all over trying to find one of these new and famous kiddo inventions. They were sold out at Babies R Us! Anyways, she loves it and feels like a big girl in it! My dad came over this morning for brunch and had her learning a new and "scary for mommy" falling forward thing..... SHE LOVED IT! She kept falling forward on purpose so he would continue to do it! There's a picture below in case this sounds like a ramble! LOL!! We are still waiting for her first laugh, we thought we heard one but she tricked us it was a gurgle. Instead her new favorite is to grunt so hard her face turns red. Of course, we thought she was pooping but no go, just her new sound! Its hilarious!

Her tummy time is coming along, she is almost rolling over...... any day I think! Princess also loves tummy time and is copying Rian all the time. LOL!! Princess is on the look out for Rian and is protective but the second Rian is face to face with her Princess runs the other way! Its the weirdest thing! LOL!!!

Rian is growing everyday!!

Well Rian is amazing us everyday! We think she is teething with her drooling and grabbing everything she can so she can put them in her mouth! She is unbelievable, she can soak a bib in 5 minutes with her drool... pretty impressive! LOL! Rian doesn't drink much from bottles but lately she started to hold her bottle all by herself! She really likes to do things on her own! It must be the controlling part of her that she got from her mommy! HA HA! Her tummy time is coming along...... she will stay content for about 5 minutes now, so were moving up! HA! We have her 4 month appointment on June 9th and am curious to see what she weighs. As of 2 weeks ago she weighed 12 lbs already! Rian eats so much, she is still eating every 2 hours! If I try to extend it to 3 it is like she is crying bloody murder, like we starve her or something!! LOL! Rian is getting more and more rolls everyday!!! Thank goodness she has been sleeping through the nights for the past 2 months because lately she is not wanting to nap at all. If she goes down for a nap for 30 minutes I am impressed..... she doesn't want to miss a thing! She must think her mommy is really exciting, that's all I can think of! HA HA!!

Mark is finally working the norm since the Rockets are out of the playoffs. He just finished a commercial for the Space Center again, this was his 3rd time. Hollywood here we come!! LOL! My lovely husband just booked our tickets to Arizona for the July 4th weekend, we are so excited!! Well I am a nervous wreck to fly with Rian..... with all the flying I have done as a flight attendant you would think it is no biggie!! But I have my very own precious cargo to save... scary!! We will be able to see our family and friends and they get to meet Rian!!! YEAH!

Our New Blog!

Well, here it is. It took me many hours trying to figure out how to work this new hip blog thing, so I'm going to give it a shot! HA! Since our family is scattered around I thought this would be great to see how we are all doing! First and everyones favorite is Rian!! She is 13 weeks old and an absolute joy to Mark and I!! I cant get enough of the toothless grins we get no matter what we say or whatever face we make!! I can tell her laugh will come anyday now. She just started to squeal in delight this week and it is FABULOUS!!!! I am lucky to be able to love on my daughter everyday all day long! It is the most rewarding job I have ever had! Then, theres Mark and I! Mark has been working so much with the Houstons Rockets being in the playoffs so we dont see him much. We appriciate all he does for us! I am going to start a craft night with the girlfriends and make hairbows and other fun things. My grandpa is flying in the next couple of weeks so that will be fun! He cant wait to see his great-grandchild! Nothing else to exciting except Rian these days. I am lucky if I get out and go to Target! LOL!! I will do my best to update this blog, (in between naps of course!) We love and miss everyone!! XOXO The Smiths
