We lost her to technology already!

Miss Rian has been infatuated with cell phones and computers lately! ALREADY!! She stares and reaches and just has to touch them or hold them if she can. Anytime someone is on the phone we put it to her ears and she looks everywhere as if they are here for her to see somewhere! Its so funny! She looks around then stares at the phone. She has already started to type on the keyboard and may be faster then her mommy! LOL!! Here are a few cute pictures of her new and exciting world!

Rian has also been playing the piano at her Grandpa Collette's house! She sounds like Beethoven already! LOL!

P.S. I think she is addicted to Coke! Yes, this is a joke! HAHA!

Our first Mommies Group outing!

Those of you who didn't know, I started my own Mommies Group! I would get asked to join a mommies group and I would ask them how long they have been meeting together and it was always a year or longer. I thought, forget it, they have already formed their clicks and I would be the "newbie"! Also, I ran into those moms who have more then one and they were always giving the unwanted, no-it-all advice. So, I decided to make my own group! The oldest is 11 months and the youngest is Rian at 4 months.

We met a Newk's Cafe, a yummy "deli" style place. Rian was very much checking out the other babies. She really was taken in by the only boy, his name is Jaden. Jaden was trying to touch all over Rian and Rian would just smile at him and I swear bat those beautiful lashes at him!! Can you believe it!! I think she might be a flirt like her daddy was! LOL!! I was always to shy! (I know what happened right?? LOL!)

Any ways, we had a great time, none of the kiddos cried and the mommies had a great time getting to know one another!!

Happy Fathers Day!!

Rian and I let daddy sleep till noon! Poor guy needed it!! LOL! Then we hung out all day as a family and had dinner at Carrabba's with my dad. It was a nice, relaxing day with the happy daddy!! Rian ate like a champ today, I believe she actually swallowed the cereal!! HAHA!!

We are so excited to come to Arizona! We are hoping to move there when the economy is better for work. Maybe in the next year?? The humidity here is brutal!

Rian's first Try with Solids!!

Today was Rian's first day trying to eat like a big girl with her rice cereal!! We have been putting her in the high chair for the last few days so she will get the concept of eating at the table. She liked it, no crying or screaming so we took it as a yes! HA!

I can honestly say that the cereal smelled not so hot but hey what do I know. The first spoon full was spit right back out! This was the same for ALL of her spoon fulls! LOL!! She also added a little disgusted look as well! When Rian gave us the disgusted look and the tightly closed lips, I knew we were finished!

You'll notice she is putting one finger up in the air in every picture!! I think she is trying to tell us that she is number 1!

Way to go Rian!! You did a great job, even though you didn't swallow anything!! LOL

First swim in the pool!!

On Saturday we took Rian in our pool!! It was like bath water! She absolutely loves the water! We had to buy 2 swimming suits, the first one said 13-18lbs. and it was to tight!! She only weights 13.6 lbs. so go figure. Then the second suit said 12mths. and that was too tight!! UGH!! Poor girl already has a hard time finding swim suits, she must be like her mommy! LOL!!! Anyways, Rian was smiling at daddy while he cruised with her up and down the pool!

We invited my girlfriend Judith over with her two girls Charlotte and Claire. The girls had a blast! Rian just looked at the girls in amazement! LOL!! We will miss Judith and the girls they are moving to Virginia in 3 weeks. So sad!

You know your a mom when......

So, I had a few thoughts that I would share with you! I was thinking to myself and said, "Now I know what the other mothers were talking about, I can totally relate!!" LOL!!

Last night I picked up my girlfriend Judith for her birthday dinner! I pull up to her driveway and she gets in the car and a few minutes go by and then I realize I have Rians soothing sounds and lullabies playing in the CD player!!! LOL!! I didn't even notice. Whats even worse is that Judith didn't notice either!! I'm surprised we didn't fall asleep on the way!!

Then, at night I'm laying in bed reading a book and after awhile I decide to turn in. I'm laying there in the dark and thoughts are going through my head. I realized as I already sang a few versus that I'm am singing myself to sleep with "You are my Sunshine!!!"

I guess that's when you know your a mom!!!! LOL!!

First Astros Game!!

After a long thought process of wondering if I should take Rian to the game, I decided I would. We met some friends and Mark down at the Astro Dome to watch a baseball game. Rian was great on the car ride downtown with no crying, which was a miracle!! She hates being confined to her car seat. So, I'm thinking this wont be so bad! Well, I carried her in the Snugli carrier so she could see everyone. She was happy until the National Anthem and then cried bloody murder! Mark and I just looked at each other and I was thinking... oh geez.... its completely silent and now she cries!! UGH!! We got her to calm down and she was having a good time. We decided to head down to our seats they were 4 rows from the field. A few minutes after we sit down she is crying with huge tears rolling down her poor face. Mark says, "I'll take her up and you can relax and enjoy the game." I'm thinking yeah right like thats going to happen. Maybe 5 minutes later Mark calls me and says she is still crying and we have to go! LOL!!!! We leave and the minute we are walking outside she is silent and a perfect angel in the car the whole way home!! LOL!!! I don't think she likes the Astros!! Maybe next year!! LOL!!!!

Rian is 4 months today

Today Rian turned 4 months old! We had our 4 month check-up and she is in the 50th percent tile for her weight!! LOL! It's so funny because she was in the 10th percent tile on her 2 month! Also, since I nurse I always wonder if she's getting enough......HAHA!! I guess she's getting plenty since she's 13.5 pounds!! LOL!!

Rian received a big thumbs up on her appointment! She has been sleeping for most of the day and no fever from her shots so that is a plus!! She is a trooper through her shots and I think I cried harder then she did. When I nursed her after the shots she calmed down and I was still crying! LOL!!

Great-Grandpa's Visit

Last Thursday my Grandpa from North Dakota came to visit Rian! We had a great time! It was great to see him. He said this would be his last flight since its getting hard to travel. He's 81! He sang "You Are My Sunshine" to Rian and she loves it!! Every time I sing it to her she either stops crying, falls asleep or smiles! Way to go Grandpa!! We took a 4 generation picture that will be great for Rian to see when she is old enough to understand! It was a tearful good-bye for me, we have been so close since I was little! We enjoyed our visit, thank you Grandpa for coming!!!

Rian's first roll-over!!

Well, Rian rolled over for her first time on June 1st! It was so exciting! We were doing her usual tummy time that she hates..... and within 2 minutes she plops on her back!!! I said, "OMG! Do it again baby girl." Then her daddy comes home from work and she does it a few more times! I'm thinking since she picked up on this early it must be either one of two things. She's smart like her mommy LOL, or she REALLY hates being on her tummy!! LOL!! It was great!!

This afternoon my grandpa from North Dakota is coming!! WOOHOO!! We are so excited! He is my favorite person in the world, next to Rian and my hubby of course! He is just so excited to see his great-grand-daughter! He will be here till next Tuesday! We might try and take him and Rian to Galveston for her first beach experience... we'll see how that goes! I'm afraid of her getting a sun-burn and I am told not to put sunblock on her until she is 6 months old. She's not even 4 months now and its going to be a long summer if we cant go swimming in our pool!! I dont want to wait until 7pm every night!! LOL!
