My girl is sitting up!!

She loves sitting up like a big girl!!

Rian has been sitting up for the past 3 weeks, but for a short time then she tumbles. Well, yesterday she was sitting up for at least 10 minutes on her own before taking a tumble backwards!! I couldn't believe it!! It was like overnight she was a big girl sitting up without her mommy or daddy holding her up!! It's so exciting but at the same time I'm realizing she is getting to be a big girl and doing things on her own...... when she doesn't need mommies help anymore.... :(! LOL!! Ok honey, lets start for our second one!! LOL!!

Rian is so much fun everyday! I cant believe the things she really wants to do on her own. We just started sippy cups the other day and she grabbed both handles on the side and took a drink! I was looking at her with my jaw dropping!! I'm thinking, how did she know???? CRAZY!!!!! She is up to eating two solid foods a day, and can I tell you LOVES carrots and sweet potatoes!!! Rian will eat the whole jar!! She could be without the green beans! When she tried the bananas she swished her face like she just ate a lemon, it was so funny!

Happy 6 months to my baby girl!!! She was a champ when she had her shots!!! The doctor said she is 15 pounds 6 ounces and healthy!!

Rian says MAMA!!!!

My little smarty pants has been saying Mama for the past month!! I'm sure every mom thinks there baby is smart.... I love hearing it and it never gets old!!! LOL!! I don't think she relates it to me because she says it all the time, even when she's irritated!! We all know that mommies don't irritate their babies!! HA! I am so amazed at the "words" she says ba-ba, la-la mama, etc. Rian is getting to that fun stage where she is always laughing and smiling at anything I do. I could touch her feet and she thinks it so funny, or when I blow on her head she gets hysterical!! LOL! She has such a great personality, it must be from her mommy!! LOL!!

Rian's first power outage!

A couple of nights ago we had a really bad storm and the power shut off!! Let me remind you that it's 100 degree's and probably 90% humidity!!! LOL!!!!

First, when the storm started we were at my dad's house for dinner. Mark noticed on the news that it was going to get worse so we decided to head home which is only 7 minutes away. As I am running to the car, I should have followed those important rules parents tell you when your little..... don't run you might slip! Well, of course I slipped and fell on my knees and somehow stubbed my toes with blood all over. Did I mention I was holding Princess?? Poor dog ran like hell to the car! LOL!!

When we pulled into the driveway the power shut off with our garage door still open. Mark's mother was in town with us and the last time she was here hurricane Ike followed! We are thinking she brings us the bad weather! LOL!!

I'm thinking it is starting to get dark so lets give Rian a bath while we can still see and its not so hot and muggy inside! Ms. Rian had a relaxing bath with candles, wish that were me in the bath! She loved it! We continue with her normal bedtime routine.

We put her to bed and it was sooo hot she could not sleep at all. I was blowing on her and she stopped crying but I realized that I couldn't do this all night! Mark says to me, " You want to sit in the car with the air on and her CD playing?" I thought, sounds good to me! Rian fell asleep in my arms within 5 minutes and then an hour and a half goes by and we are still in the car. I didn't have the heart to bring her inside the muggy house. The power finally came back on. YEAH! Ms. Rian had a great first storm!!

Terrified Mommy!!!

Well, yesterday Rian rolled from her back to tummy for the first time! I was so excited, yeah my girls getting so big!!! I was the proud mommy!!

Then, I am putting her to bed last night and she rolls onto her tummy. I thought, I dont think so little missy and put her back on her back. She normally rolls to her side then clonks out. I leave the room and look at her video monitor and she is back on her tummy again with her face planted in the mattress! AAHH!! All I could think of was SIDS, SIDS, SIDS!! I go back in there and put her on her back. I walk out and look in the monitor and she is once again on her tummy! I counld't believe it, she was quick!! I left her and she turned her head to the side and fell asleep!

Of course I didn't sleep all night because I had to keep looking in the monitor to make sure her face was turned to the side so she could breathe. I'm sure she is at the age where she would turn her face if she could not breathe, but I had to make sure!! HAHAHA! I was up all night, so exhausted today!

Every time I put her on the floor to play she is on her belly, then on her back, then belly again! Rian is a Rolly Polly!!!!

It was Rian first Fourth of July!! We had so much fun! Uncle Mike and Marianne opened their house for the celebration! There was food, family and poolside fun!

Rian's Aunt Kelly drove in from California for the fun and to meet Rian! Rian had no idea how popular she was! HAHA!

We had great food and Rian went into the pool! She had a great time and took a good nap after! Poor girl was pooped out!

Thank you Sue for a wonderful get together! Sue hosted at her house so we could all hang out with our babies! She had food and toys! Yeah! It was generous to open your house, thanks so much! All the kiddo's were great and happy, couldn't ask for much more! HAHA!

I haven't been around the girls since after high school and the past couple years have been nice seeing and chatting with the girls again! I didn't realize how much I missed their friendship! I'm glad to be back! Maybe it will be sooner then later if we move back to Arizona!

All the kiddos had a blast interacting with one another and the mommies had a great time watching and chatting! I cant believe 12 years ago we were all hanging out together on the cheer line and now we all have little girls, except Misty with the only boy!! LOL! He's going to have lots of girlfriends!

Rian and I had so much fun!! Thank you Sue for the food, fun and playroom! LOL! Jayla was great with sharing all her toys! Thank you Camille and Misty for the munchies as well! We had a fabulous time and cant wait to hang out again!

It took many anxiety attacks before I thought it was okay to take Rian on a plane. I have been a flight attendant and I know how germy, scary and over whelming it is to fly with a child. I was scared that if something were to happen to the plane how could I save her. I was a wreck! LOL! Long story short...... It was a piece of cake!! LOL! Rian was so great through it all the flight to AZ that I was sure it was going to be a nightmare on the way home. She was wonderful both times! Rian fell asleep on both flights and she was smiling! What more could you ask for!

We had a wonderful time in AZ with our family and friends! Thanks to Auntie Kim and Uncle Tim for letting us crash their house! Kim found us a crib, high chair and toys for Rian to use while we were there!! It was great and Rian felt right at home. She slept through the night so that says something, or they just wore her out! LOL!!! Thank you guys so much for all the hospitality!! They spoiled Rian with books and clothes! They also read many books to her which she enjoyed very much! I think Auntie Kim, the Librarian, enjoyed it more!

Rian also met her Uncle Mike and Aunt Marianne for the first time. Mike held her in the airport when we arrived and she was happy, the next time he tried to hold her she screamed bloody murder! Who knows! LOL!

Rian was also loving on her Grandma Smith! She was spoiling her with books, toys and clothes! What a Grandma! Grandma also wanted to introduce her to her friends and Rian enjoyed all the attention, of course! We think Rian recognized her Grandma the moment she saw her, it was great!

Thank you everyone for a wonderful trip!! We had so much fun and Rian did too!! The night we were home she slept 12 hours!! I think she was exhausted!!! LOL!!
