Today was a BIG day!!!

Rian took her first step!! Her walking toy was just an inch or so in front of her and there went the step forward so she could get it!!! Then she took two more steps in a matter of 10 minutes!

She is really good at walking when she holds your fingers, she really takes off!! Ita almost like she's running!!! LOL!! I couldn't believe it!! Rian made sure she did it in 2009!!! LOL!

Also, her 5th tooth came through today as well!! She had such a great day today!!! We are so proud of her!! I cant believe she will be 11 months old shortly!!!

We are sooooo excited because my mom is coming down to see Rian!!! She hasn't seen her since she was born!!! I'm going to plan a day that we can get our pictures taken together, the three of us!!! I just cant wait!!!!!!

Rian was so pooped out from today's big events she was crashed out by 6:30! LOL!!

We are so proud of our little RiRi!!! We love you sooo much!! Sorry, daddy wasn't here to see it but we appreciate you working for us!!!

Sorry, I know I am a few days late!! LOL!

Well Rian's first Christmas was AMAZING!! We had such a good time. It was filled with family, gifts, food and Santa!! What more could you ask for!

Rian was up at her normal 7am and we were up and ready to go!! Rian has been eating all the corners of the gifts as they we being delivered to our house! HAHA!! On Christmas morning that didn't change! She was still eating the corners and that was it!! I pretty much opened all her gifts and she would check each one out to see how fun it was!! This was the best Christmas!!! Rian received her first jewelry box, her first doll, a set up of a college fund, her first ornaments, etc!!! She had so many wonderful gifts from so many wonderful people!!! We cant thank you enough!!! I will say with total honesty she loves everything!!!! I guess I expected her to play with a toy and then retire it quickly!! They are still going strong!!

After we finished opening our gifts we headed over to my dad's house for the rest of our Christmas Day! My step-mother Betty cooked a great meal and my dad dressed as Santa Clause for Rian!!! It was GREAT!! She didn't cry or anything just checked him out!! LOL! We then of course opened more gifts!!

Rian had some great time with her Grandpa, Grandma, great-grandpa and Grandma, auntie Shannon! Rian played with them and ate a good portion of Betty's scalloped potatoes!! She loved them!!

Thank you to everyone for all the wonderful gifts, food and company!!!

Today we went to the Houston Zoo! We all had so much fun!

Rian really liked the fish and the sea lions! She was watching with big eyes and smiles and a few sounds and words we could not understand yet! HAHA!

Unfortunately while we were looking at the gorilla's, they was a bird flying out of the gorilla area and flew right into a glass wall and fell into the water.... We don't think the bird made it.

We had a great time looking at all the animals, strolling around and Rian especially liked being on her daddy's shoulders looking at the view from the top! We had no idea how long we were at the zoo until we got to the car, 3 hours! HAHA! We had a wonderful time!!
